Job Description
A renowned Bangladeshi manufacturer and exporter of home appliances and handicrafts is seeking a dynamic Executive–Merchandiser (Handicrafts) to drive product development, sourcing, and buyer coordination.
Position : Merchandise Executive
Salary : BDT 20,000- 22,000
Location : Baridhara DOHS, Dhaka
Employment Type : Full-time
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering/Business/Fine Arts/Product development/ Relevant discipline
Experience:
1-2 years of experience in merchandising
Experience with products such as: Jute crafts, Bamboo/cane products, Homemade textile.
Responsibilities:
Communicate with international buyers regarding inquiries, quotations, samples, order confirmation, production updates and shipment status.
Basic MS Office skill (Excel must)
Coordinate product development and sample execution according to buyer requirements and market trends
Sourcing raw materials, accessories and handicraft products from suppliers, artisan groups and production units.
Preparing product costing sheets, quotations and negotiate prices with suppliers and buyers.
Monitoring production schedules and ensure timely completion and delivery of orders.
Coordination with artisans, factories, quality teams and logistics departments for smooth workflow.
Ensuring product quality and compliance with buyer specifications and export standards through regular inspections and follow-ups.
Handling merchandising, production and shipment documentation accurately and on time.
Coordinating shipment schedules and delivery deadlines with logistics and export teams.
Resolving production and quality-related issues during order execution.
Conducting market research on handicraft trends, new designs, materials and customer preferences.
